Hand wrapped and finely milled, our hand soap is made with a vegetable base, producing a rich, creamy lather and contain added shea butter to help moisturise the skin and leave it soft and delicately scented.

The skill and time dedicated to scenting the hard soap, along with the process of stamping it with our iconic design, remain unchanged. We still use the same mould originally created in the early 1800s. Despite their notable history, our soaps look equally at home next to a traditional Belfast or pedestal basin, as they do on the edge of a contemporary installation.

A bottle of Elite on a wooden desk next to an old-fashioned typewriter.

A favourite of the Floris family since it was created in 1979 by the late Michael Bodenham, Elite is a fragrance to return to time and time again. Named after ‘Lotion Elite' – a Floris after shave cream which first featured in our catalogue in 1851. Elite was initially a slow burner in the Floris range and shows that patience in the art of perfume creation, really does pays off. Maintaining a few loyal followers, as the 1980s progressed, its admirers grew, both at home and across the continent, as exports to Europe increased. Elite has since gone on to become an icon among the Floris signature collection. It has found a second home among devotees across the world and particularly in Italy where the fragrance has gone from strength to strength and continues to maintain its popularity today, 40 years after it was launched.

"Elite is an expression of an elegant man, thoughtful and refined, with phlegmatic detachment: created in 1979, it has risen to the status of a masterpiece."

    Elite soap

This has been a favourite of my husbands for many years and will, I believe continue to be so. The scent is very delicate and is, in my view, suitable for both sexes.

    Fairly strong perfume

I quite like the elite soap although I have found the perfume is a bit stronger than previous fragrances.

I have used Edwardian bouquet for quite a number of years as I found the fragrance to be more unisex than Elite, which is quite masculine.

Very upset that you have discontinued Edwardian bouquet again.

    I bit spicier

The fragrance is okay but not as pleasant as Edwardian Bouquet.
